Paperback. Surviving a stroke was only the beginning. Learning how to live again became an entirely different journey. In I'm Still Here: A Journey of Healing, Transformation, and Purpose After Stroke, Part Two, Coretta Smith-Morgan shares what happened after the hospital stays, surgery and rehabilitation. Returning home brought gratitude, but it also brought fear, grief, exhaustion and the difficult realization that life would never look exactly as it had before. With honesty, faith and emotional courage, Coretta writes about relearning her own life, accepting the woman she had become and finding strength in the love of her husband, daughters, mother, sister and caregivers. She speaks openly about the complicated days survivors do not always discuss, including anger, discouragement, loneliness and the pressure to appear grateful or inspirational at all times. As recovery continues, Coretta begins to recognize God in ordinary moments, reclaim her voice and understand that her survival carries a greater purpose. Her experience becomes a calling to support survivors, encourage caregivers, promote stroke awareness and remind others that healing does not have to be complete before a life can still hold meaning. This deeply personal continuation is for anyone rebuilding after illness, loss or sudden change. It is also for the people who remain beside them, quietly carrying burdens of their own.Your scars are part of your story, but they are not the whole story. You survived. You are still here. And your hardest chapter does not have the final word. A deeply personal story of life after stroke, exploring faith, family, grief, recovery and the courage to rebuild a meaningful life with purpose. This item is printed on demand.
