Pelchers, Childhood Memories of the Village Store by Nick Salmon tells the story of life centered around memories of the proprietor, cheese, baseball cards, swimming and bicycling in the small village of Dorset, Vermont. The book is composed of impressionistically altered photographs from the 1880's to the 2020's recalling a series of memories of a special time and place. Although told from the perspective of the author, the images and memories include those of 7 generations of connections to the community. Proceeds from the sale of the book benefit the Dorset Historical Society.
