The first book on Zurich-based architecture firm Penzel Valier.

Founded in Zurich in 2008 by architect Christian Penzel and structural engineer Martin Valier, Penzel Valier has established itself as one of Switzerland's leading design firms. It has realized projects that uniquely demonstrate the interplay between the two disciplines. The architects’ portfolio includes a wide range of different typologies, including transportation and infrastructure buildings, office and sports structures, as well as housing, interior design, and furniture.

Penzel Valier combines the fundamentals of the firm’s design principles with a presentation of its key buildings and projects. Essays by distinguished authors examine the firm’s work from different perspectives. A detailed, illustrated catalog of their built, unrealized, and ongoing projects from 2007 to 2024 rounds off this beautiful volume.

Leonore Daum and Friedrich Tellbüscher, both architects, are managing partners with Penzel Valier in Zurich. Christian Penzel, architect and designer, and Martin Valier, structural engineer, founded the Zurich-based firm Penzel Valier in 2008.
