Descrizione dell’articolo da parte del venditore

Oblong small octavo measuring 7" x 6". Black cloth over flexible paper board with "photographs" stamped in gilt on the front board. Contains 97 sepia toned or black and white gelatin silver photographs measuring 2" x 2.5" and 3.5" x 5" with a single caption. Very good with some worn edges with near fine photographs. A family photo album from 1923 likely and anecdotally from Southern New Jersey. The album follows a family featuring them in group photos, posed around their family homes, and in candids. The opening pages show children dressed as "Indians," in wagons, and on bicycles. One photo shows two girls posed together on the back of a bicycle, another shows men and women posed on tree stumps in a wooded area. Later in the album they are photographed at a summer camp with images of canoeing and swimming. Girls are seen playing dress up and in one photo two teenage girls are photographed with heads tilted faking a kiss. Boys are photographed boxing, playing baseball, shoveling snow in the winter, and having snowball fights. Interspersed throughout the album are photos of a farm owned by the family with images of the barn, animals, and horse-drawn hay carts. An interesting collection of vernacular photos documenting family life in the 1920s.…
