Pieter Engels folding print/posters. 'BAMM: Brain-squad against mass-communication and mediocrity'. Pieter Engels, 9 Project Owlglass posters, published by the artist / BAMM: Brain-squad against mass-communication and mediocrity, Amsterdam, 1976-77.The conceptual Dutch artist Pieter Engels created a fictional publicist called 'Simon Es'. Together, Engels and Es called themselves 'BAMM: Brain-squad against mass-communication and mediocrity'. These folding prints were sent out to various art world recipients as cynical, banal and humorous publicity information sheets. They create a subversive dialogue on conceptual art and the cult of the artist. Many of the prints are both exhibition posters and artist's conceptual prints. All prints are 780 x 520 mm.
