Dr. P.V.Laxmiprasad offers a brief historical analysis of Indian English Poetry. After introducing the poets from the pre-independent and post-independent eras, he places T.V. Reddy among the contemporary Indian poets like D.H. Kabadi, I.K. Sharma, I.H. Rizvi, T.V. Reddy, DC Chambial, PCK Prem, R.K. Bhushan, R.K. Singh and others. T. Vasudeva Reddy (1943 -) is a retired Principal and formerly U.G.C (University Grants Commission) National Fellow and Visiting Professor in English from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, is a poet, novelist and critic in English. His poems have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies in India and abroad. He has authored twelve collections of poems, two novels and three critical works. His poems have appeared in French journals in Paris and in a recent anthology in Canada. Many critical articles and research dissertations have appeared on his poetry. He is now Hon.President of GIEWEC (Guild of Indian English Writers Editors and Critics). His poems are translated in many languages.

Dr. P.V. Laxmiprasad is an active academician, an avid researcher, a literary critic, and a resource person. A teacher with two decades of experience, he is the author and editor of 10 published books in English Literature. He is widely published in journals, books and anthologies. His publications speak of his outstanding credentials and long-standing commitment to English literature. Overall, he has 300 publications to his credit. He has passion for music and literature. He is working in the Department of English, Satavahana University, Karimangar, Telanagana, India.
