In all the arts a war is being waged between modernists and postmodernists. Radicals have tended to side with the modernists against the forces of conservatism. L'autore: Hal Foster is the Townsend Martin, Class of 1917 Professor of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University. He is an internationally renowned author of books on post-modernism in art.
