Book of Evergreens, by Josiah Hoopes, to which I have called especial attention in the Chapter on Conifera. I have endeavored to give proper credit to the first describer of the species, but may in some instances have failed in this, owing to the confusion existing in regard to this matter in some of our botanical works.
