The sources at the end of the book is a bibliography of all the works consulted from books of Lydia Maria Child, Thomas Jefferson, and other writers of the 19th century. Besides the eight wood block engravings, John De Pol also designed the patterned paper for the binding. Original black cloth-backed decorative paper-covered boards, gilt-lettered spine. A fine copy.
