"The Preacher and His Missionary Message" is a profound exploration of the essential relationship between the local pulpit and the global missionary movement. Written by Stephen J. Corey, this work serves as both a theological treatise and a practical guide for ministers seeking to awaken a missionary spirit within their congregations. The text posits that the gospel is fundamentally a message of outreach, and therefore, the preacher's primary task is to bridge the gap between biblical mandate and the modern mission field.

Corey examines the spiritual and intellectual preparation required of the preacher to effectively communicate the urgency of the missionary task. He provides insights into how the themes of universal salvation and Christian service can be woven into the fabric of regular worship and sermonizing. By highlighting the historical and contemporary challenges of the era, the book offers a window into the missiological thought of the early twentieth century. It remains a significant resource for those interested in the history of Christian missions, homiletics, and the enduring role of the pastor as a leader in global evangelism. This work emphasizes that a church without a missionary vision is a church that has lost touch with its core purpose.
