A notable aspect of this volume's analysis is the transformed institution of the presidency in the wake of the impeachment hearings of the country's last twentieth-century president, Bill Clinton. Lawrence R. Jacobs is an associate professor of political science at the University of Minnesota. He is author of The Health of Nations: Public Opinion and the Making of American and British Health Policy and coauthor of Politicians Don't Pander.
