This book features a collection of carefully selected papers that were presented at the 7th International Conference on Power, Energy and Mechatronics Engineering, ICPEME 2025, held in Dubai, UAE, from February 14–16, 2025. The conference showcases meticulously prepared papers contributed by numerous participants from both academia and industry, focusing on the dynamic and interconnected fields of power, energy, and mechatronics engineering. The papers included in this book highlight the increasing demand for sustainable and efficient energy sources which has underscored the significance of innovations in smart grids, renewable energy systems, and energy storage technologies. They also address the challenges and opportunities faced by professionals by the rising adoption of electric vehicles and the integration of renewable energy sources into power grids. The papers are authored by an international group of academics, research scientists, and industry experts, making the book valuable to a global audience in the field of power, energy, and mechatronics engineering.

Jian Li is currently a professor in the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He earned his B.S. degree in Automation from UESTC in 2007 and then to earn his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Detection Technology and Automatic Engineering from UESTC in 2010, and 2014, respectively. In 2011–2013, he was awarded a scholarship by China Scholarship Council (CSC) to visit the Telerobotic and Biorobotic Systems Group of the University of Alberta as a visiting doctoral student supervised by Dr. Mahdi Tavakoli. Following graduation from his Ph.D. program, he joined the faculty of the UESTC at the July in 2014 at the rank of an associate professor. His current research and academic interests include power system analysis and control, renewable energy integration, and cyber-physical systems. He has authored for over 100 peer-reviewed research papers.
