Aggiungere al carrelloA scarce item comprising of an A4 size illustrated folder with two interior pockets containing A4 size stiff cards, each with black and white and colour photographic illustrations. The front of the folder is a little creased at the corners, but is intact. The rear, however, is still complete but with a number of closed tears and could probably be repaired. I have been unable to find out exactly when this item was published, but the content suggests it was shortly after World War II. The photographs show work being carried out by British Quakers in the resettlement of refugees around Europe and other similar humanitarian acts. Also included are photographs of documents for the use of conscientious objectors during the Second World War. Presumably the item was produced by the Religious Society of Friends in Britain, as many of the photographs are copyrighted by that group, as a teaching aid to illustrate the work carried out by the Society during the war. There are 34 stiff card sheets numbered 2 to 35 (sadly sheet 1 is missing). I suspect there would have been an accompanying booklet or similar, that would have explained the photographs and their contents. Again, sadly, this is not present. Even so, the photographs show the sterling work being carried out by many brave men and women, in the aftermath of the war.
