Wendy Sheppard, originally from Southeast Asia, began her career as a chemical engineer. In 2005, with encouragement from a friend and no prior experience, she made her first quilt. Needless to say, that delve into quilting changed her career path. Wendy's original designs have been featured in numerous quilting magazines. She also designs patterns for several major fabric companies. Wendy and her family live in Dumfries, VA. (ivoryspring.wordpress.com) Wendy Sheppard's daughter, Gwendolyn, is one of Aurifil's first batch of "Aurikids," part of their initiative to reach out to the next generation of crafters and sewists.
