She inherited a ranch she never knew existed.
He’s the grumpy foreman who’s been holding it together for years.
And her father’s last “condition” traps them together for sixty days.
Lena Cross thought her father’s legacy was money and distance—until a will sends her to Crossland Ranch in Montana with a brutal ultimatum: stay for sixty days or lose her inheritance. The catch? Half the ranch belongs to Jacob Hart, her father’s closest friend… and the day-to-day operation belongs to Rhett Maddox, the foreman who doesn’t welcome strangers—especially not a sharp-tongued Texas heiress in clean boots.
As Lena digs into the ranch’s finances, family secrets, and the real cost of keeping Crossland alive, the internet catches a glimpse and turns her into a story again. Trespassers cut fences. Texas lawyers threaten to “protect the brand.” The ranch becomes a spotlight—and Rhett becomes the one person who understands boundaries, consent, and what it means to be watched.
Between forced proximity, hard-earned trust, and a slow-burn attraction that refuses to stay quiet, Lena and Rhett face the question her father never gave her the chance to answer:
Will she leave when the clause ends… or stay because she finally chose something for herself?
Ranch Rules is a steamy, consent-forward cowboy romance featuring grumpy/sunshine tension, forced proximity, small-town community, and a heroine who stops running—on and off the ranch.
