Rejection Is Not Fatal

Rejection is direction. Not everyone will be on your side or will accept your work or whatever you have in the positive way. When someone says no to you, it doesn't mean it's the end of your journey. Life throws us different and difficult challenges, but sometimes we must rise and face them. No one is a failure in life. The same people who rejected you, they had failed many times in life; to travel on a new direction is difficult, but never give up. Instantly find a new way to take in order for you to reach your destiny.

I believe that in life no one can choose or control what you have in your mind. Even myself, I can't; the only thing to do is to take actions to make sure that the road you take you won't regret later. Don't do what the ordinary ones do, but go the extra mile. In order to learn more, remember that rejection is not final. They may reject your request of a bursary, your job application form or CV, your book proposal, etc., but note that it doesn't mean that everyone will reject you. It's time to learn from it. Of course, it's not easy to acknowledge rejection as direction. Be brave enough to let all the things that aggravate you build success out of a poor background and build a future out of challenges and disappointments.

Rejection is a part of life. You need to be able to accept that things will not always work out the way you want them to be and that's okay. Just because one thing didn't work out, it doesn't mean you are a failure or nothing will work out. Even if you fail what you are trying to do in your life, it doesn't mean that everything you are interested in won't work. The moment you start to believe that you will always be rejected, you will be! You will set yourself up for failure each time. Keeping yourself going forward and dwelling on the past rejections are going to keep you mired in the past and won't let you enjoy the present.

If you can keep on thinking about the number of times you failed to do something new, you are going to have hard times when you must work and try something new. Rejection sometimes is the wake-up call and can help to improve your life; it's time to let rejection go. Remember, rejection is not final. In other words, every pain of rejection you feel doesn't mean it's the end of the world You've already given yourself time to grieve, and you have learn from it. Allow me to tell you that it doesn't mean you must say yes to every opportunity you come across. You don't need me to tell you that everyone experiences rejection.

Often the people who you think have it all are the people who have endured more rejection than most. Embrace your personal rejections. When you are rejected, don't sit around, wishing you can turn back the clock. Remember, time goes on; nothing will stay forever. I failed many times, and I was rejected many times. I am not perfect and far from being perfect. I also have my weaknesses in my life just like every human being, but I don't let them stop me; no one can stop a moving car.

I thank God for his encouragement in my life for me to realize my dreams at an early stage of life; I am not the best student, far from it, but I will never let that stop me from achieving my dreams. The Bible supports me with the verse 1 Samuel 16:7: but the LORD 'said to Samuel "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."'

It takes me back to the old saying "'Don't judge a book by its cover'. Its meaning is simple. A person's appearance, either their physical attributes or dress, is not an indication of their inner being. Never mind on how people look at you because they only see your outer part; beauty is only on the skin, not in the heart. They may reject you due to your physical appearance, but note that God is always working on your inner part.

Life will be difficult if you keep on trying to prove to people that you are perfect or better, but all I can say is do what is right for you. Remember, every choice you make will affect you in the future — not us, but you. The best thing about rejection is that it can help you to be better; sometimes we're rejected because we didn't prepare enough. Other times, we are rejected because we are not attractive to the person. Rejection has been, and will be, as normal part of our lives as our daily mail. The people who keep on rejecting you — whether at school, at work, in your family, or wherever — are giving you better directions in order to reach your destiny. Rejection is not final even if it's difficult for you to acknowledge it as direction. It takes me back to the powerful words or poem by the late Maya Angelou:

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

These words motivate me all the time. She simply indicated that in life not everyone will see you in the same way or accept you the way you are. But still, like air, you must never ever let them cut you with their eyes or shoot you with their words.

Pause for a while and close eyes and listen to the voice you hear within you. Listen to it carefully. 'I can do it. I will do it but ... but ... no one believes in me. Everyone is against me, so how am I going to rise from zero to hero?' Sometimes we forget that O is the first letter of opportunity. What I am trying to say to you is that moment people laugh at you, telling you they can't work with you, that you are not good enough to work with them, that your CV is not good to offer you the job, and many other excuses. But never cry or give up because God is always watching you. He knew that things will be that way.

It takes me back to the life of Job in the Bible. Job lost everything, but still, he didn't give up. He didn't stop believing in God. Although his friends tried to push him to the bad direction, he didn't change or take it; he didn't blame God, in other words. When God used Satan against Job, it was the way to test his belief. Don't get me wrong; the same thing applies to our lives. God knows what we want, but before he can bless us, they are many challenges that we must face or go through.

Let's take a look. There are many successful people who were rejected many times. I am talking about people like Michael Jordan, who was cut from his high school basketball team. He once said, 'I have missed over 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games, and on 26 occasions, I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I have failed over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed.' This is why I am telling you that rejection is not the final destination. He didn't give up. This is why he succeeded.

When someone critiques, criticizes, and pushes you away as soon as you are rejected, you will find yourself thinking, 'Well, that proves once again that I'm not worthy.' What you need to realize is, the other person or situation is not worthy of you and your particular journey.

Rejection is medicine; it teaches us how to reject the things and opportunities that aren't going to work. In other words, it gives us directions to find the right ones that will work. You are all familiar with Honda Motor Company, right? Soichiro Honda is the founder of the company Honda, which is one of the well-known and largest automotive companies. Honda started when he went to a job interview to work for the Toyota company. Honda was rejected and was told that he didn't fit the job! The man didn't give up, and he decided to start a company that would compete with Toyota, and so that was how Honda Motor Company was born! If there is anything we can learn from this inspiring life of Honda, it's to never give up.

Let your feelings of rejection drive you, feed you, and inspire one heck of a powerful opening to the next chapter of your story. If you constantly feel like someone is not treating you with respect, check your price tag. Perhaps you've subconsciously marked yourself down. I mean right now! If you don't value and respect yourself wholeheartedly, no one else will either. I know it is very hard to accept, but think about it. Let the rejections in our past dictate every move we make thereafter. We literally do not know ourselves to be any better than what some intolerant person or shallow circumstance once told us was true.

Rejection should not stop you; failure is not a problem because people who reject you know nothing. Believing in yourself is the key to success in life. I have managed to become a published author of two books at the age of seventeen years, and I earn a lot while I am still attending high school. This didn't happen by chance because I already wrote that goal down three years before I accomplished it. Some chapters in our lives have closed without closure. There's no point in losing yourself by trying to fix what's meant to stay broken. Take deep breaths. Inner peace begins the moment you decide not to let another person or event control your emotions.

The person you liked, loved, or respected in the past but treated you like dirt again and again has nothing intellectually or spiritually to offer you in the present moment but headaches and heartache. To be rejected in your relationships doesn't mean you must beg other people. Life and God have greater plans for you that don't involve crying at night or believing that you're broken.

God won't and will never reject you. 'God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew' (Romans 11:2). This verse simply indicates to us that God always forgive us and gives us the courage to achieve. Whether you are poor or wealthy, no matter how many times you are rejected, never give up on yourself as God don't give up on us. It's not end of the world. It's never the end of the world, and yet rejections can make the loss of someone or something you weren't even that crazy about feel gut-wrenching and world-ending.

People who procrastinate or those who wait for the right time never make their first attempt, and so they never succeed. People who fear to try or fear success itself, they never reach anything too. Failure is nothing more than discovering that you are not following the right approach. Without failure, you will never know about the mistakes you have done, and success can never be reached. Never let failure and rejections conquer your mind. It's now time to step forward! Seriously, most of us do not understand how much potential we have. We limit our aspirations to the level someone else told us was possible. Take a step now, and step forward. Rejection is not the final destination.

Your Choice Is Your Destination

There is only one person that can make that choice. It's not God, and it's certainly not Satan. No, it's you. In other words, your choice, your destination. The moment you establish a destination by defining what you want, take physical action by making positive choices that move you towards that destination; let no one to stop you.

Never waste your precious time trying to explain yourself to people who have proven that they don't need you. Your life is more important than any other person in this world. You are the only one who must protect your dream as you are prepared to give your dream a birth. There will be challenges, failures, and changes to face, but never ever give up.

No matter what happened or what may happen, always do your best, and keep that smile on your face. You won't enjoy life without challenges; you will never succeed without failures on your side. You will never learn and understand who you are without changes in your life. Act like a doctor if you want to be a doctor. Never kill that vision you have, but live it, plan it, and do it. Mistakes always happen in order for us to learn, and to grow stronger and wise, you must have the courage to make mistakes. Let yourself to be a beginner; no one plays perfectly in the game of life.

You are not your mistake. Life is too short to tirelessly struggle with old news. Let the past be the past. Never let anyone try to drag your past to catch up with you. Don't help them by acknowledging their behaviour. Letting go of the past is your first step to free yourself from the things that already happened in your life. Remember, you can do it without them; delete toxic people from your environment, and it becomes a lot easier to breathe. Let no one tell you that you are not good or ready to pursue your dreams. As long as you are breathing, it's never too late to start. Remember, each exit is an entry somewhere else.

Allow me to remind you that every day is a new opportunity. Every moment you have in this earth is an opportunity to start working towards your dreams. Your time is too limited to worry about what other people want you to do. Remember, you are doing it for yourself. You were born alone, and you will also die alone. Why should you let other people drag you down?

Let no one stop you, whatever your goal, whatever you're set to achieve. The most important thing to do is to start taking the first step in the right direction. Mind no one when it comes to your dreams. Your life is yours alone. Others can try to persuade you, but they can't decide for you. In other words, every choice you make has its own rewards; you will be the only person who will be celebrating or regretting the choices you made.

Let me remind you that people can walk with you but not in your shoes. Why should you let other people stop you? Being a published author at the age of seventeen years — it was very challenging, but still, I never let anyone stop me. I was told many things, like I was too young to be an author. Prove them wrong, that in life it is not always about being phenomenal in order to reach your destiny.

Live your life today. Don't be afraid to fail and make mistakes in life. Most mistakes are unavoidable; I am saying to you, learn to forgive yourself. It's not a problem to make mistakes in life. How can you laugh if you never cry? Good things come slow. People may push you to rush, only to acknowledge what you have done than to support it. Success never comes to you while you are waiting around, thinking about it. You are what you do.

It's not people's business to love you; it is yours. You really have to love yourself in order to achieve your dreams. Note that no will love you if you don't love yourself; it's like change or mind shift. You can change your clothes, colour, hair, nails, etc., but as long as your mind is not yet changed, it will be difficult for you to change for the better 'cause in life there are many things that happen, bad and good. What you do today may become what you will be tomorrow. You never know. What if tomorrow never comes? Time stops for no one.

Stop living in the past. Yesterday has gone and will never be again. Everyone carries emotional baggage with them; don't forget that your reality exists only in the present. People have their own lives to fill with their own hellish headaches, their own problems, their own mishaps, and their own successes. Friendships are great but often don't weather the storm. Be yourself, be self-reliant, and be independent.

Remember, you are only allotted a sliver of time to call your life. Use those minutes and hours to make the most of your life. You live once. Nothing is final in your life; remember, your destiny is not a matter of chance, but it's a matter of choice.

Failure Is an Event — Never Give Up

Failure is an event, not you. Although failure feels permanent, it isn't. We all know that, but we don't act like it is so. Fear of failure is the reason why we end up giving up on our dreams. As we grow, this negative belief or fear becomes unconscious. Overcoming fear of failure is not easy by any means, but it can be done. Never forget that in life nothing is final, so failure is not fatal.

We are all familiar with the saying 'Good things don't come easy'. We even experience it. Allow me to remind you that gold doesn't come from heaven. Gold doesn't come easy. Gold is found from hard rock underground (a mine) by miners. Remember, they are human beings just like us; they are even our families. This simply indicates to us that in life you won't succeed without talking any risks. When miners go underground in the mine, they don't know what may happen, but still they hope to come back to their families. They dig to find gold, but before it can be gold, there is a process that needs to be followed and steps that need to be done.

But don't be confused. Gold is from rock — but not just any type of rock. They are special rocks that are made to hold gold inside them. You are that unique rock even if your challenges swarm like flies and failures is road that prepare your success. But it's not the end of your journey; you are special. You have the potential to do anything you want. Figure out what it is that you want out of your life. Just like miners, don't give up, and always have hope. Hope is everything in our life. In other words, with hope, everything is possible. If you don't have faith, it will be difficult for you to reach for the stars.

There is value in failure, as you can see, and most importantly, failures are lessons. What you can draw out of each failure is experience and knowledge that will help you achieve success . This is why you should never ever be afraid to fail because there is absolutely nothing to fear. Accept that failure is part of life, and the better you will be for it.

Life is full of distractions and opportunities to do something else, something other than what we're doing now. Many of us spend a lot of time thinking about those other things. When we live in the now, we have power! With this is it! Attitude we make the present 'it' and find joyful moments that we might otherwise have missed!
