Netland is professor of philosophy of religion and intercultural studies and director of the PhD program for intercultural studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He was a missionary in Japan for nine years with the Evangelical Free Church of America and is the author of Dissonant Voices: Religious Pluralism and the Question of Truth and Encountering Religious Pluralism: The Challenge to Christian Faith and Mission.
