Anything which is pleasing in appearance is considered ‘esthetic’, but when we talk about dental esthetics, it is not just a finite point, rather broader zone, consisting of teeth, gingiva and lips. Until recently dentist and public’s concept of dental esthetics was necessarily limited to alteration of the teeth themselves.
