Chapter One
The manifestation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, and to his servants regarding things that shall soon come to pass, Jesus made it known to his holy angels, and the angels spoke it to John the beloved disciple of Jesus Christ.
2 John bore witness to the word of God, and the life of Jesus Christ, and everything he had seen in the vision.
3 Happy is the man who spiritually keeps [endures] these things which are written therein, for the prophecy is fulfilling.
4 From John to the seven churches in Asia [Asia is the largest continent, located in the eastern hemisphere. The Romans called it their country.], write, I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ, the lamb of God, grace be with you and true harmony from Jesus Christ, the present, and the past, and the future, and from seven ministering spirits [which represent the seven eyes of God sent forth throughout all the earth].
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is loyal and true, after he was put to death by the hands of sinners, he was the first to rise from the dead [which is the first resurrection with promise], he is our prince [which means He is the highest of every king or leader, government, or president of this world], he loved us, and purged us all from our iniquity with his own blood.
6 And hath made us kings [independent, that is] in his kingdom, and to function as a priest in the kingdom of God, to him be glory, and dominion [which is supreme authority/ forever and ever without end, amen.
7 Look, Jesus is coming, riding on the clouds, everyone shall see him, even those who pierce him [stab him in his side] and all kindred [family or race of people] of the earth shall wail [grieve] because of Jesus, amen. [He is the present, the past, and the future of our lives, he is the omnipotent.]
8 I am alpha and omega [the beginning and the ending], said the Lord Jesus who is, and who was, and who is to come the Almighty God.
9 I am your fellow brother in Christ Jesus, and companion [friend, that is] in troubled time, and Joint –heirs of the kingdom and patience [sufferance] of Jesus Christ [who was beaten for the Word of God's sake]. The Jews cast me out on the isle call Patmos [Patmos is a rocky island located of the southwest coast of Asia], for preaching the word of God, and testifying of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
10 I, John heard from the Lord in this great vision; there was a great [powerful, that is] voice as a trumpet [instruments].
11 Saying, "I am Alpha [the first] and Omega [the last]. Copy down what you are about to see in this vision, and send it to the seven churches in West Asia, unto Ephesus [located on the west coast of Asia], and unto Smyrna [located in the west Asia minor], and to Pergarmus [the chief city in northwest Asia], and unto Thyatira [the province of Lydia], unto Sardis [the capital city of Lydia in the province of western Asia], Philadelphia [brother love church of the province of Lydia in west Asia], and unto Laodecea [the lukewarm church]."
12 As I turned to see who it was that talked with me, seven golden candlesticks [representing the seven churches in Asia. Watch this, the true church represents the souls of God, righteous souls that is], without spot or wrinkle. [Ephesians Ch. 5 verse 27] Every soul is tried in the fire to see what sort it is. [1st Corinthians Ch. 3 verse 13. Only in Christ Jesus can the churches come through the fire and remain as pure gold. Through the testing of our faith, we are processed into pure gold through Jesus Christ our Lord.]
13 In the middle of the seven candlesticks [churches, that is] one looked like the Son of God [Jesus Christ], [Here is a description of our Lord] clothed with a garment down to his feet, and around his waist wrapped a golden girdle [which is an article or ornament gold knitted around the garment].
14 His hair was like wool, white as snow [represent righteousness, purity of wisdom]. His eyes like a flame of fire [red, which represent the eyes of brilliancy discerner of the spiritual thoughts and knowing the intent heart of mankind ], able to see the contents of the heart and soul. Hebrews Ch:4v12
15 His feet like a fine brass [a brown yellowish; after brass is burned in a furnace it becomes dark brown represent the walk of life, burn with the criticism of sinners like the gold try in fire he was wounded with the flame, his journey walk was like a furnace liken to gold when it is purified it bring forth glorification, in the furnace of fire he was wounded for our transgression' but raise up in purity, bruise for our iniquity better yet exalted into glory. because he endure the fiery furnace of life' God exalted him above all names at the name of Jesus Christ every knee shall bow every tongue confess that he is Lord. His voice sounds like rushing water, John could not identify his voice because of racism, some would say he sounded white, other will say he sounded black, God is neither, he is a light St: John 8v12 unto to all nationality.
16 In Jesus' right hand he holds the seven stars [which represent the pastors of the churches in Asia. Jesus has divine authority over the angels in heaven.] Out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword [representing the word of God. Hebrews Ch. 4 verse 12 says, "The word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any (physical) bladed sword," and "his countenance (facial expression) was as the sun shining in his strength (very bright)." John could not look upon the glorifiedf Christ, because of the brilliant power of the light, just like Moses could not look upon the face of God and live, in Exodus Ch. 33 verses 20-23.]
17 And when I [John] saw him [Jesus] I fell at his feet as dead [spiritually knocked unconscious]. Jesus touched me with his right hand, saying "Be not afraid, I am alpha and omega".
18 "I am life to the world, even the death on the cross allow, as many as received me, to him eternal life is granted, I have the keys over death and hell [The word key represents being given the permission of power and authority. 1st Corinthians Ch;15 verses 54-57]".
19 Write these things that you have seen, and the things that are present and hereafter [and future], and send it to the pastors in charge of the seven churches in west Asia. 20Here is the mystery of the seven stars. The seven stars represent the churches of Asia. [It is I that hold [keep] the pastors, not they themselves, and it is I who walks in the middle of the churches. If any abide in me, he shall be tried in the fire and will come out as pure gold, because I am with him.] Greater is Christ within, than the devil in the world. [1st John Ch:4 verse 4].
Chapter Two
Unto the angel [
The word angel comes from a Greek word called "Aggello", meaning pastor or messenger] of the church in Ephesus, write, "Unto the pastor of the church at Ephesus write these things," said Jesus, who holds the seven pastors. [
Jesus "is able to keep us from falling," Jude Ch:1 verse 24. Jesus walks in the midst (middle) of the seven churches, which represents the spiritual souls. Christ "abides in us, and we in him," John Ch:15 verse 4. Jesus lives inside of our heart. Revelation Ch:3 verse 20].
2 I [Jesus] recognize your action, and your works, and the patience [endurance, that is] and how you cannot bear [tolerate] the evil [wicked] and you have tried [tested] them who said they are apostles, and they were only deceivers and liars. [True apostles are called by God and ordained to preach the uncompromising gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, amen.]
3 And hast borne [held out] with patience [forbearance] and hast not fainted [given up].
4 Yet I have indifference against you, because thou [you] have left thy [your] first Love [Agapa].
5 Think about your backsliding and repent [change] and do the first works with love, or else I will come unto you quickly [fast] and will remove thy [your] candlestick [spirit, that is] out of its body, except [unless] you repent [change]. [The epistle of James Ch:2 verse 26 says, "The body without the spirit is dead," so then if God removes his spirit from our body, which represents the church, we become spiritually dead.]
6 You are better in hating the deeds of the Nicolaitane. [This tribe was rejected by God because they rejected his word. Also, they were known as beretical worshippers, ones who reject the truth.]
7 He [watch this, Jesus uses a pronoun which means man or woman—everyone] that listens and understands what God's spirit is saying unto the churches [which are the soul of every believer in Jesus Christ], to him who overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst [middle] of paradise [heaven]. The tree of life is reserved for the righteous [Genesis Ch:3 verse 3, 24].
8 Unto the angel of the church of Smyrna [the word angel come from the Greek work "Angello", meaning pastor, messenger, or minister], "Write these things," said the beginning, and the end, who was dead by the hanging of the cross, and is now risen, and alive forevermore.
9 I know about your works, and tribulation [trouble] and poverty [destitution] but thou [you] are rich [spiritually rich in faith], and I know the blasphemy [evil speaking] of those confess to be Jews [spiritual Jew is the inward man and not the outward man. The conversion takes place on the inside of the soul]. They are not real Jews who are born by nature, but by the spirit, said the Lord, those who confess in the flesh only, but not born of the spirit of God, are the synagogue of Satan. [Synagogue is the Jewish house of prayer. Roman Ch:2 verses 28-29 talks about the inward Jew].
10 Fear none of those things which you shall suffer; the same way the Jews hated me, they will also hate you, and will cast some of you into prison [jail] for my name's sake, and you shall have tribulation [trouble] ten days. [According to the Jewish custom, they were allowed only ten days to hold their victim or prisoner. After ten days expired, unless the prisoner was found guilty, he was released. In Matthew Ch:27 Pontius Pilate the Governor wanted to release Jesus because he didn't find any faults in him, and according to their custom, no man could be held in prison after a length of days unless he were found guilty. Even though Jesus was found not guilty, the Jews insisted on condemning him to death, because they hated him. That the scripture might be fulfilled, he was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him; with his stripes we are healed, Isaiah Ch:53 verses 5-6. Watch this, because he was innocent, Pontius the governor, when he saw that he could not prevail in releasing Jesus or in setting him free, took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this just person." In the book of Daniel Ch:1 verse 15, Daniel was tested ten days to prove his health would appear better than the children who ate a portion of the king's meat. "Be faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life (eternal life)."]
11 He who hath a spiritual ear let him hear [receive] what the spirit is saying to the churches [which represent the souls of God] v12. Him that overcome [endures] shall not be hurt of the[ wrath of God in the second death}. Revelation Ch:14 v9-11. Rev:Ch:7v3-9 Rev,Ch:9v4-7 And unto the pastor of the church in Pergamos, write these things," said he has the sharp sword [the word of God] with two edges. [The word of God can cut you with both ends, meaning it has one end that can but the conscience of our soul, and the other end cuts the thoughts of the spirit. Even when the messenger is preaching to the congregation, if his lifestyle is in a mess, while he's pointing and cutting with the sword (word of God) at others, the other end of the sword is pointing at and cutting him because of the mess that he's in. Hebrews Ch:4 verse 12 says, "For the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edge sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit."]
13 I know [spiritually see] your works, and where thou dwell [in other words, your position in the church] and authority [leadership] in the church even where Satan's seat is [meaning there are Jews among you following the works of the devil]. My name is mentioned [confessed] among you; even your faith [belief] in me has not ceased [died] during those days wherein Antipas [servant of God] was my faithful martyr [witness] who was slain [killed] among you where Satan dwells.
14 But I have a few things against thee [you] because thou [you] hast [have] there them who hold [keep] the doctrine [teaching] of Balaam [a Mesopotamian prophet or a false teacher], who taught Balak [the king of the Moabites tribe; Balak is also called Bawlawk; the Hebrew meaning is waster, Numbers ch:22-24 tell about Balak "casting a stumbling block (sinful act) before the children of Israel, which is to eat things sacrificed (offer up) unto Idols," which is a sin, "and to commit fornication (unmarried sexual intercourse)": twofold, spiritually, to serve other gods while being devoted to Christ.]
15 So hast thou [so you have] also them who hold [keep] the doctrine of the Nicolaitians [the heretic worshippers, ones who change the truth], which things I hate, said the Lord.
16 Repent [change] or else I will come unto thee [you] quickly [fast] and will fight [war] against you with the sword [the word of God judging you] from my mouth.
17 He that hath [have] a spiritual ear let him hear [receive] what the spirit [Holy Ghost] is saying unto the churches, to him or her that overcome will I give to eat of the hidden manna [spiritual food representing blessings of our spiritual wealth] and will give him a white stone. [White represents purity and righteousness. The stone represents the foundation in Christ Jesus. Matthew Ch:6 verse 18 says, "Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." He who bears and does these things I (Jesus) will liken him unto a wise man who built his house upon a rock, Matthew Ch: 7 verse 24. The stone is solid, unmovable, fixed, as everyone who abides in Jesus Christ. The stone represents Christ's covenant in Paul's letter to the Corinthians, 1st Corinthians Ch:15 verse 58 says, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. We represent the stone in Christ, unmovable as long as Christ is the head of our life. "A new name is graven on the stone. No man knoweth the name, except the soul it is given to."]
18 `Unto the pastor of the church in Thyatira, write these things," said the Son of God [Jesus] who hath [has] his eyes like unto a flame of fire [eyes of brilliancy], and his feet are like fine brass [walking in brilliance or high rank.]
19 I know thy [your] works and charity [love] and service [duty] and faith [confidence] and thy [your] patience [endurance, that is] and the latest work is better than the first.
20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you suffer [allow] that woman Jezebel [the wicked spirit of Jezebel] who calleth herself [confesses to be] a prophetess [one who predicts or foretells the future]; she taught and seduced [led astray] my servants to commit fornication [unmarried sexual intercourse; twofold, spiritually to serve or to worship other gods as well as physically] and to eat things sacrificed unto Idols [eating meat left over from sin offerings, which was forbidden].
