Chapter One

How And Why Have You Got Here Today?

The fact that you are now reading this book shows that you are seeking for happiness, serenity, health and wealth.

I want to congratulate you from the very start, because you will get all these things through this book, which aims at your getting rich and which has some principles or "Golden Rules", some truths, which were applied by the most successful people in the history of the world, some of them still living today.

Here you will find formulae, which were studied for over thirty years by successful people, who managed to reach financial independence. In this book you will find advice and confessions of the richest people of the planet.

Why do you think three percent of the world population own 96 percent of all the money in existence? Do you think this is accidental? Nothing is accidental. Even the fact that you are now reading this book is not accidental.

How come you are where you are now? The answer is very simple: you wanted to be here. Maybe you think this is tough, but it is the truth.

In this chapter I will explain to you, why are you where you are today and where do you start to get where you want to be. I want to tell you straight away that if what you want is a new world, a new life and new experiences, you need to have full trust in what this book will be telling you.

We usually think of what we need and very rarely of what we have. This is the reason that we cannot move on.

About 90 percent of the world population do what they do not like to do in way of work and live all their life in need of money. The time has come for you to know the rules applied by the most successful people in the world.

The environment you are in and the people you communicate with speak clearly about your lifestyle and about your achievements.

In nine cases out of ten, during the first talk with a person, only words of dissatisfaction are used and the conversation is about how tough and difficult life is.

I would like to ask those who say that life is difficult, what they compare life with when they say life is difficult?

Life is our most wonderful and sacred gift and time has come for you to realize as well that your life may be exactly as you want it to be.

Your dissatisfaction made you live all you experiences and only gratitude will save you and you are the only one that may save you.

I will tell you about an experience of my wife, which may help you realize this concept better.

It was during the time, when I, like yourself, was the most dissatisfied and upset man in the entire world. That is how I believed then. If was the time in our life together with my wife, when we had not enough money even for the essentials for the children. There were times when we had no money even for bread.

During one of our discussions, my wife told me:

Ion, today I was feeling as the poorest and most needy woman in the world and, when getting out of the store, I saw a boy in a wheelchair. I realized the boy was disabled and instinctively I reached for my purse to give him 5 Euros out of the last ten I had ... There were happy tears in the boy's eyes. He was trying to hold the money but could not control his hands because of his disease. I started to cry myself and placed the money firmly in the boy's hand. The boy started to say "Thank you!" but was so overcome by his weakness that he could not do it ... But he was trying so hard that his wheelchair was shaking together with him, tears pouring down his face. That was when I also started to cry in earnest, as I realized how rich and how happy I still was. I asked for God's forgiveness and started to thank Him fervently for all the numerous blessings that I had.

From that day on, our life has started to change. We realized how ungrateful and how sorrowful we had been. We started a new way of life and changed our thinking, trying to see more of the miracles around us. We realized how many things we had to be grateful for and how happy we were just for being free to do what we wanted.

Now, I will ask you to take a piece of paper and a pencil and to list on it all the things you are grateful for, all the blessings that you have right now. This is the first step towards the point where you want to get, be it love, health, money or wealth.

List on paper all the good things in your life and stick it where you can see it upon waking up every morning or going to bed in the evening. I keep this "things to be grateful for" list on the door of my wardrobe. In the morning when I select what to put on, I recall to give thanks for what I have. I do it again at night when going to bed. It may look like a very small thing, but its influence on our life is truly extraordinary.

Principle 1 – Be grateful for everything that the Universe has created for you and thank God for everything that you have

This is where you need to start. This is one of the things, which all the successful people do. This is what the people, who have made the greatest achievements in their personal and professional life, do.

Everything we have today is the result of our past choices

"Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved." William Jennings Bryan

If you have no money today, if you are upset and have health related problems, if you are lonely and have nothing of what we call "harmony", this is just because these were the things that you were focusing your thoughts on in the past. We all know the saying "The rich get richer and the poor get poorer." Do you thing this is accidental? Well, nothing is accidental in this Universe.

It is true that "the rich get richer", because their thoughts are concentrated on plenty, nice life, pleasant emotions and they attract all these things more and more. The Law of Attraction is the most powerful law in the Universe and it works perfectly for anyone. We will talk about it in detail in Chapter VI.

That is why the people who live in need experience more and more need in their life. We see perfect examples of this everywhere when we look around and we hear numerous cases to confirm this.

People, who talk and think all the time about diseases and complain frequently of all types of pain, have health problems.

When you think all the time about what you still need and what is lacking in your life, you do nothing but attract in your life even more need. Each "I have no ..." thought brings even more "I have no-s" in your life, each "I cannot" brings in your life even more helplessness and even more lack of power.

Today you have no success and are upset because in the past you have concentrated mostly on such things. Those who live in poverty are the ones that think all the time how to get out of poverty. Do you think the experiences that you have every day are accidental? You provoked them yourself; irrespective whether you did it consciously or unconsciously. You have chosen these experiences. We also attract people, who are similar to us, and if those who are close to you are in the same situation, it is not surprising that they think like you do. Your way of thinking holds you where you are today. Your thoughts make certain people and certain circumstances come into your life. They are exactly the people and the circumstances, which you think about or which you concentrate upon in your mind, consciously or unconsciously.

We are the ones that choose the world in which we live.

We are not talking here about the attempt to totally control thoughts. This can make you lose your mind. We are talking that we need to start with replacing old thoughts with new ones. When you start doing this, even this will seem difficult to you, but later you'll see that it is quite easy and pleasant.

To understand all these things better, we have the emotions.

Any thought is accompanied by an emotion and this is wonderful, because it will help you tremendously in the process of changing your thoughts. Emotions are an extraordinary gift and a perfect indicator of what we have and what we expect to have in the future. Emotions tell us about the type of thoughts we have. To make it easier, we will divide emotions and thoughts into two categories: positive and negative, or good and bad.

Irrespective of whether you feel guilty, envious, nervous, revolted, jealous, frightened or you feel sick, this means that you are experiencing negative emotions and having negative thoughts. All this shows you precisely that what you are feeling at this very moment in time does not coincide with what you want.

However, if you feel content, loved, protected, hopeful, a winner, all these emotions show that you feel well and experience positive emotions.

Emotions are the perfect guide towards the achievements which you want. If you feel well, try to maintain this spirit. If you feel bad, find out the reason and see the sunny side of things. The worse you are feeling, the farther you are from your achievements.

When you start to change your way of thinking, all you need is your will and I may help you here with some positive affirmations.

For example, you may replace "Trouble never comes alone" with "Joy never comes alone." And why do you need to believe all these negative affirmations anyway? Why not replace them with positive thoughts and ideas? Here is one of the affirmations which I use daily "Today it seems to me that everyone around me has agreed to do kind things by me and I am impatient to see it."

Principle 2. Change your way of thinking, see the positive side in any situation, concentrate on good thoughts!

This is the second Principle you need to abide by to change the quality of your life. It is a principle followed by all successful people. Try your best to see the positive side in any situation! In this way, you will be able to concentrate on the good things and automatically the events of your life will be different.

Who can save you?

Have you ever asked yourself, what are you doing to change the world you are living in or what are you afraid of? What is good and what is bad for you? You are the only one that knows what you are hiding in your own inner self. You are the only one who knows what makes you happy. You are the only one who knows when you feel good. Now I tell you that you are the owner of your life to the extent of 90 percent. Nobody but you shall make decisions related for you.

"The rules always work if you apply them and put them into practice."

This encompasses everything, success, physical condition, psychological state, income, everything.

Let us be frank here. How many of us were educated so as to blame other people for our failures, parents, bosses, friends, acquaintances, relatives, the economy, the weather, the horoscope and so on? This list may be endless. Even now we do not want to realize and admit that the only person to blame is ourselves.

But if you really want to be successful, and I know that you want it, you need to leave behind all dissatisfaction and quit blaming others. You need to fully undertake to be 100 percent responsible for all the outcomes and for the type of life you have.

It is the only way to create opportunities for moving with big steps towards success.

You need to give up any old habit of finding always a scape goat and to be responsible for all the things that come into your life, good or bad.

You should give up for ever laying blame on others and finding fault with others. You should eliminate these practices from your life and from your vocabulary.

Generally, if you ask someone "what are your plans for this month or week?" the answer is eyes opened large in surprise and "I do not know" or if we ask "How do you intend to get out of this situation?" the answer is "I do not care" or "I am at a loss". So, if you do not know or do not care, who can save you? The answer is obvious - nobody.

Be responsible for everything that occurs in your life, change the situation, give up old habits and the way to Success is open to you.

Ask yourself why has not the plan worked? Where have I erred? How to change the situation in my favour? What have I thought about? What have I omitted to think about? Who have I believed in or what have I believed in?

"You create your own universe as you go along" Winston Churchill

Start feeling content today, being happy now and you will see how, by changing your "frequency", you will start to get more pleasant experiences, to feel better and to be richer. Do all the things that bring you joy and make you happy and thus you will save yourself. Replace negative thoughts with positive ones, thus you will get from life all that you need to feel better.

Principle 3 - One hundred percent responsibility for everything that takes place in your life!

This is another rule followed by all successful people. Observe it! If you do, you will get results, like when you get results by following exactly any other principle or formula. The person that you are waiting to come and save you is yourself.

You are the only one that knows what's in your head

To understand better what we discussed earlier, we will start with the idea that "you're the only one that knows what's in your head", that is, there is just one single owner of all your thoughts and emotions. That person is you.

It is equally important to know what are your thoughts concentrating on and where you get your information that feeds your conscious and unconscious mind.

Most people spend, on the average, an hour per day in front of the TV set. This means that, on the average, people get monthly about 1,800 minutes of information from news, whether positive or negative, from talk-shows, movies and publicity sports.

All this information gets hold of your thoughts without you even noticing it.

The subjects include, generally, economic crises, deficit of money, some viruses that may affect your health, assassinations, theft, fraud and others. Thus, a major part of the information, which we receive, is negative. In order to make some order in your thoughts, you need to be the creator of your own reality, not a passive spectator who looks surprised at his life.

When I say "creator", I mean that each situation of your life is the result of your own thoughts, action or inaction. Thus, in order to change the reaction inside you, you need to filter your thoughts. How can you do it?

For example, successful people do not hide their heads in the sand, but meet proudly any difficulty and seek for the best way to manage the situation. Thus, if something is disturbing you, makes you feel upset or scared, or you believe that you will not succeed, try to understand where the fears come from.

Here is a simple exercise that will help you find out what you have in your head.

Write on a sheet of paper a problem that you are facing now and divide the sheet into two halves. On the one side of the sheet write all that you stand to gain from the situation, and on the other - all that you stand to lose from it. For example:

(The problem) I lost my job

Positive Negative

1. I am looking for a new 1. I have no salary. job, which may be more satisfactory to me.

2. I may be able to find a job 2. I have no money to pay with a higher salary. the rent.

3. I may be able to work in a 3. I am dissatisfied with my stronger company. own self.

4. I have the opportunity to know new people and new things.

5. I have more free time to realize what I want.

As you see, as a rule, we have more to gain from what is happening to us. We should also remember that any problem or unpleasant feeling is bound to end and that any problem may either transform into another problem or get resolved towards some end, irrespective of your reaction to it. Whether you react in a positive or in a negative manner, the problem is still temporary.
