ORIGINAL ART: an original watercolor cover and 24 original pencil drawings with pasted-on text forming a mockup book prepared by Cloke for a publisher. Size: 5 ½ inches square. The mock-up contains two tales: the story of a runaway red hat, and the tale of the tailwaggers trying to enter a show. Together with a copy of the six-page "Lotus Birthday Book" of The Runaway Hat that resulted from this artwork, published by J. Arthur Dixon, Ltd. ALso included is Cloke’s 1980 TLS submitting the drawings to a NY publisher and asking for "an idea of the fee you pay for this kind of work." Fine condition, and charming. .
