Paperback. Samuel Rees Howells, A Life of Intercession: The Legacy of Prayer and Spiritual Warfare of an Intercessor by Richard A. Maton, Paul Backholer and Mathew Backholer. Paperback and hardback editions include 39 black and white photos. Rees Howells, a powerful intercessor, taught his son Samuel the principles of intercession and commissioned him some weeks before his death, stating, "Whatever you do, stand and maintain these intercessions." For the next fifty-four years, Samuel Rees Howells exercised a powerful intercessory ministry as he focused prayer on gospel liberty, in order for the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be given to every creature. With the mantle of intercession weighing heavily upon him, Samuel spent decades participating with others in their own countries, in profound spiritual struggles that shook world events and shaped history for God's glory! Discover how Samuel was led by the Holy Spirit to exercise authority over the principalities and powers, and to 'pray through' until God's purposes were fulfilled in many lethal world conflicts.Learn how God still intervenes in world history, from the Korean War to the Cuban Missile Crisis, and from the Six-Day War to the fall of the Soviet Union!Beginning in the days of Rees Howells, this book continues this powerful story of intercession and traces its effectual legacy into the twenty-first century. Filled with principles of intercession, faith and spiritual warfare, this book provides a fascinating insight into what is possible when the Holy Spirit finds an individual, who will stand in the gap and become a channel for His intercession. Informazioni sull’autore
Paul Backholer is a broadcaster, author and the founder of ByFaith Media (ByFaith.org). Paul was born in the 1970s and was called to Bible College in the 1990s, where he later served as staff. As an adventurer following God's call, his Christian mission outreaches have taken him to over forty nations - from the slums of South America, from Cairo to the Cape, into China, across the Trans-Siberian Railway, into the Pacific and through the jungles of South East Asia. Paul has shared Christ in many nations and his ByFaith TV programmes have aired on more than fifteen Christian networks around the world. Having studied theology, Paul is committed to the integrity of Scripture and faithfulness to it. He believes walking closely with God is the most important thing in life, and it was an encounter with the Holy Spirit in his youth which led to him to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul's books are birthed from his relationship with the Lord and focus on a variety of subjects, including walking closely with God, knowing the Holy Spirit, prophetic revelations grounded in Scripture, biblical archaeology and Christian history.
Mathew Backholer is a revival historian, seasoned traveller, broadcaster, writer, author, researcher, editor and co-founder of ByFaith Media, who was born in the 1970s. In the late 1990s, Mathew studied at a Bible College in the UK, where he later worked as a staff member, carrying out various duties, including, teaching English (TEFL), itinerant preaching and leading teams of students in outreaches, including weeks of evangelism. Mathew now works with ByFaith Media researching and developing new books, writing for the ByFaith website (www.ByFaith.org) and preparing for new TV projects with his brother Paul. Mathew has travelled to more than forty nations of the world carrying out research, executing missions and filming/presenting Christian TV and documentary projects. http://www.byfaith.org https://twitter.com/byfaithmedia https://instagram.com/byfaithmedia https://www.facebook.com/ByfaithMedia https://www.youtube.com/ByFaithmedia
