This First Edition is in Very Good condition with a Very Good dust jacket that retains its original glossy shine, and the price of $8.95 is intact on the upper corner of the front insert.The covers are in good shape though the upper corner of the front cover is bumped and there is a very faint paperclip stain at the top center of the front cover as well as light toning to the edges of the covers, and a hint of foxing to the bottom edges and lower quarter of the front gutter. There is also a very faint dark mark on the front cover, and the upper edges exhibit light foxing. The spine caps are slightly indented. The binding remains firm, with unbroken hinges. The interior pages are clean and unmarked.The dust jacket shows light shelf wear and a few small tears, none bigger than a quarter-inch, with light wear to the upper edges of the inserts.This seminal and increasingly scarce work explores the intriguing concept of plant intelligence and their potential connection with humans.
