Paperback. Did the note R. G. McAnally had found in his mother's antique mantel clock contain a secret worth killing over? If so, how big a secret would it take? He turned the note over and over, thinking. Thinking. When it settled in his hand, he looked down to see a single word written on the back side: "One." Did "One" indicate that somewhere there lurked a "Two"? Maybe a "Three" as well? Of course it did. Why number a note at all if only one existed? Where might he begin to search for more clues-and where would they lead? To the truth or to the grave? Across the ocean, Maggie Miles held a similar clue in her hand. Her father had told her that the mantel clock had belonged to her biological mother, who had died within the first hour of Maggie's life. Would her dad know anything about the mystery behind the clue? Should she mention it to him and risk the possible consequences? He'd already been hurt so much. The death of the love of his life and the death of his bride. What would she be asking him to endure, if yet another secret upended their comfortable lives? Four, seemingly unconnected notes, scattered in inconspicuous places, on two different continents, culminate to change the lives of unsuspecting people who could not foresee the danger or their own destinies. But God.in his infinite wisdom and unwavering devotion to his children, pull these people together in a way that only he can do. A fantastic, healing, and restorative journey awaits, as they trust God to bring peace and harmony to troubled waters and troubled souls. This item is printed on demand. Did the note R. G. McAnally had found in his mother’s antique mantel clock contain a secret worth killing over?
If so, how big a secret would it take?
He turned the note over and over, thinking. Thinking. When it settled in his hand, he looked down to see a single word written on the back side: “One.”
Did “One” indicate that somewhere there lurked a “Two”? Maybe a “Three” as well?
Of course it did. Why number a note at all if only one existed?
Where might he begin to search for more clues—and where would they lead? To the truth or to the grave?
Across the ocean, Maggie Miles held a similar clue in her hand.
Her father had told her that the mantel clock had belonged to her biological mother, who had died within the first hour of Maggie’s life. Would her dad know anything about the mystery behind the clue? Should she mention it to him and risk the possible consequences? He’d already been hurt so much.
But God…in his infinite wisdom and unwavering devotion to his children, pull these people together in a way that only he can do. A fantastic, healing, and restorative journey awaits, as they trust God to bring peace and harmony to troubled waters and troubled souls.
