Two sisters, identical twins, in a society where siblings don't exists, discover truths that will see the very fabric of their existence unravel.
Tessa
Twenty-five-year-old Tessa is an Elite. And probably the only person in the capital of Sontaria, the city of glass, who doesn't want to be there. They took her from her home, from her twin sister.
Unexpected blackouts start occurring in Sontaria, everything shifts. And when she realizes that the government she works for, who run their city meticulously, has no idea why it is happening . . . She needs to know why.
Her digging leads her to the abandoned, underground tunnels and bunkers that haven't been used for hundreds of years since the apocalypse. There she discovers a band of rebels, a secret society, The Order of the Flame.
Just what are the Order fighting for? How can she work her way into the rebellion without being caught? And why she can't take her eyes of one of them, Finn.
Clara
Engineers work tirelessly to supply the city. It's long hard days and even harder conditions. Nobody cares about your ranking in the sectors. Smarts just gets you in trouble.
After being separated from her sister and lumped with her worse enemy, Nate Prendergast, Clara keeps her head down and hands busy to meet both their quotas. Ash Remmins is her supervisor, and he cares way more than he should. And she is desperately trying to get some kind of communication to her sister, Tessa.
But when an unknown disease begins to spread through the sector, Clara has to carry her load and Nate's, or they will both end up in the wastelands.
Can the sisters survive the plague and the rebellion long enough to find their way back to each other?
Will alliances turn into enemies?
Or enemies become lovers?
