The author explores the nature and significance of shame and its relation to guilt, which she feels is often neglected in contemporary thinking (1950s). Appealing pea green cloth boards with gilt (gold) titles at the head and tail of the spine (slight fading here). Dust jacket is strikingly red (perhaps a subconscious choice of colour) with titles in white on both the front covers and along the spine. Some edge wear plus a closed tear near the tail of the spine (<25 mm) front and back (top left hand corner) - see images. Tight binding. Top edge has some spotting. Condition: overall in a very sound state; the main condition-related issue being the internal level of tanning; especially visible on the book s preliminary and final pages. FFEP has a red ink signature. pp. 318/8vo Please note that, depending on destination, we may request an additional payment to cover any extra shipping/postage charges. Proceeds to Amnesty International. Abe2342. Codice articolo ABE-1697541955524
