The void is not a curse. It is a gift. A gift that can be filled with love.
Six years have passed since Anna Ashworth Holmes contained the emptiness and transformed the hunger that haunted her bloodline. The world is healing, the dead are at peace, and the silver mask sleeps on the mantel of the Sussex cottage. But peace is not the same as permanence.
When a mysterious scholar named Elias Vranek arrives with the Grey Codex-an ancient consciousness bound in parchment and ink-Anna learns a truth more devastating than any she has faced before. Echo was not the first emptiness. She was created by someone else. A woman who existed before the Progenitor, before the hunger had a name. A woman who discovered the void and tried to weaponize it.
Her name is Seraphina Voss. The Architect of Emptiness. And she is not dead-she is waiting, trapped in a pocket of nothingness, calling to Anna through the blood of her ancestors.
As the grey light of Seraphina's influence spreads across the Ashworth line, Anna, Vivienne, and Isabelle must descend into the heart of the void itself. They will confront the Architect, face the Primordial Silence-a force that existed before the universe was created-and make a choice that will determine the fate of the world.
The Grey Codex is the eighth instalment in the Mirror of Justice series. It is a story of sacrifice, of sisters bound by blood and emptiness, and of the love that dares to fill the void when all hope seems lost.
Because the chain is not a burden. It is a gift. And it is lighter now than it has ever been.
