First printing of this Harpercollins edition, 1998. Tidy dust jacket, a little wear to the fore edge tips, some very fine scratches, variant without the price to the jacket flap. Black covers with bright silver lettering to the spine, clean and bright pages, there is one page gathering in the appendix which is loose and appears to never have been bound in, but sits very neatly in place. Good condition. Features colour map endpapers and 20 stunning colour illustrations by Ted Nasmith.
