An author and musician from southern Kentucky, Misty L. Butler had very specific goals in mind when she wrote her second book, In the Simplest Things. I wanted this to be a book people reach for when they need encouragement and hope, when they're looking for some lighthearted reading to boost their spirits and help them smile. That is exactly what>In the Simplest Things has brought to its readers. In it pages, Misty shares glimpses into her life and her reflections on God's goodness, found even in simple moments. Her gifted writing style shines through as she retells events in captivating prose, sprinkles in some lyrical poetry and hope-filled prayers, and fills the book to overflowing with humor that will lift your heart Similar in style to her first book, Finally Spoken: Words of Hope, this lovely collage was best described by one reader who said, This book is simply delightful Misty's desire in writing this book was for you--the reader--to feel more encouraged than you did before you read it, to experience a sense of renewed hope, to perhaps find a smile again. Whether she is letting us in hilarious moments from the children she has worked with, laughing at being mistaken for a beauty queen, feeling in awe from an unexpected encounter with a stranger, or finding herself in another embarrassing situation, Misty writes with wit, grace, and wisdom. Through her charming yet easy-to-read writing style, she inspires us with the beauty and blessings she has found in life's ordinary hours, in the simplest things.…
