Chapter One
The Great Commission
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen"
Matthew 28:19-20(KJV)
"And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel, them to come in, that my house may be filled."
Luke 14:23(KJV)
God loved us so much that he chose to create himself as a man, inferior to that of the angels to save us from eternal damnation. In the book of Philippians it states "Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." (Philippians 2:6-8) Jesus was sent by God to fulfill the will of God. Jesus stated in John 6:38 "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me." His sole purpose of living was to die to redeem mankind from sin. If Jesus did not come, and if he had not died it will be impossible for mankind to be saved by God's grace, and there could not be any remission of sins. The last three years, of Jesus natural life he spent preaching and teaching God's word, casting out devils, and setting the foundation for the great commission.
A lot of speculations have been formulated, and inquiries were raised about Jesus Christ. Some presume, or declare He was merely a prophet like Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and many others. In addition, a number of people have stated there was nothing spectacular about his life that needs to be identified above the life of others. Jesus was, and is the only man that has ever, and will ever walk the face of the earth that can be considered equal to God. Jesus is God, was a man, and conceived by the Holy Ghost. He did not have two natural parents such as the entire human race. He had a stepfather named Joseph, but his biological Father was God. Jesus was a unique vessel who birthed the existence of the new covenant, which is mankind being "saved" by grace. He spent a total of 33 years here on the face of the earth. Before Jesus departure he reminded all his disciples about the great commission, being a part of their job description.
The Great Commission was the ordinance given to man over 2,000 years ago from Jesus Christ, after His resurrection on Calvary, before His ascension into Heaven. Jesus gave mankind the charge and the mission for the church, which includes three phases; travel near and far, educate all nations, and baptize all believers in the name of the Trinity making disciples of all men. The charge given to us from our Lord is simple, but man has made it so complex and vague. The Great Commission is no longer a mission carried out by the local church; instead it is a mandate that is scarcely fulfilled. There is absolutely nothing new that God is doing in this day that differs from times past. The words of our Lord are the same now as they were over 2,000 years ago. God has not changed, as it is stated in Malachi 3:6 "For I am the Lord, I change not", nor was the words which He had spoken. He requires the same respect, exaltation, and obedience as He had always commanded since the beginning of time.
Society seems to think that God's word will not come to past and there is no truth in it. Mankind has deceived themselves and has allowed room in their hearts to be deceived by Satan and his evil devices. One of the devices and tactics Satan uses to deceive man is man himself. (If we say we have no sin we are liars) the bible states in 1 John "if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." (1 John 1:8) The other device is another human that surrenders themselves to be used in order to manipulate people, of all different ages, regardless of race, nationality, and social class status. Deception has no prejudice and Satan targets the younger generation as well as the older generations.
Many ministers of today assemble churches with the assumption there is no way in the world they would make the same mistakes as some of the fallen prophets, but in the end, their pride has gotten the upper hand. More and more fallen prophets, ministers, and teachers are stumbling with their salvation because the generation grows wickeder and wickeder as the years elapse. For that reason alone they are unable to fulfill the instruction of our Lord, which is to make disciples of all men. Ministers of today are not equip to practice what they preach, causing the church to lose its reputation as a sacred place of worship.
In previous years, churches were known to be a safe haven, where men and women of all ages could go to receive a healing, both physically and spiritually. The church and its believers' would encourage the "backslider" to repent and re-establish those who have been spiritually beaten and broken. Men and women would come to the house of God, give up their sinful lifestyle, and find rest for their souls. Nevertheless, somewhere along the line, Christians have allowed the enemy to change their way of living and forsake the presence of God until the power of God has departed from their personal life, as well as the churches.
Sanctuaries were never perfect, but there were some that strive for perfection because they allowed Jesus to lead them and to be their foundation. In addition, anything and everything could not have free course in the house of God. In former years, it was not rare to have sinners redeemed, filled with the Holy Ghost, and given the ability to speak in other tongues. Then a few years later to see that person preaching, or teaching the word of the Lord with truth, and power that another soul may come to the realization there is a better life with Christ. As I previously stated, that is the sole purpose of the great commission, but Christians and Churches are missing the mark. Instead of compelling all men women, they are contributing to what we now see; a spiritual famine that has spread from coast to coast.
Chapter Two
Spiritual Famine
"Behold, the days come saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from north even to the east they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it".
Amos 8:11-12 (KJV)
Undeniably a famine of God's word is prevalent in the present day. There is barely a prophet, preacher, teacher, or evangelist that is willing to stand in the gap and preach the absolute gospel of Jesus Christ. A spiritual famine not only affects the saints of God, but the whole world; causing the earth to grow more sadistic over the course of time.
Instead of learning how to minister to dying souls about deliverance, the only thing Christians want to hear is the Lord will increase our finances. When God sends a minister that preaches against sin, Christians want to brush it off, and put on deaf ears, as if God is only a God of prosperity. News flash! God is sending a message to the modern day church; the message to receive Jesus in our hearts and flee from sin.
The deficiency of repentance has plagued every nation and is spreading like a contagious disease amongst the entire human race. Uttering the word repent is like using foul language; men and women, worldwide would rather face the consequences of going to hell than to repent of their sins. I have heard some who have stated "going to hell is no big deal, I'll make my bed next to the water cooler" or "Oh well at least I will be there partying with my friends." Ignorance can get the best of us at times, but let's not be stupid there is no water cooler in hell and your friends are going to be too busy burning in the Lake of Fire, as opposed to partying.
I have never been to hell, and I definitely don't want to go, but there is one thing I know for sure. Hell is a place of torment. Not once, does the Bible describe hell as being, the "it" place, where there is no work and all play. In hell there is no free will and you will not be allowed to go and do as you please; no club hopping, or partying will be taking place. I am sure that God would have included those details, if it were true. The details we do know is that hell is hot, and all souls that were disobedient will be burning in the lake of fire, as described in Revelations 19:20, 20:10,14,15. All sinners that go to hell are going to be in complete torment. In St. Luke the 16th chapter, a rich man that ignored Lazarus, went to hell, and pleaded to have Lazarus dip his finger in water to cool his tongue. No one in their right mind would want to burn for eternity and endure flames that are unquenchable. Hell is not a figment of our imaginations, and living a life of sin is not a game which you play with your salvation. There is a price for our sins; if you don't hearken unto the words of the Lord you will burn. In the book of Romans, Paul states "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
One of the major reasons God has sent a famine was because people had ignored Him and His warnings about the souls that sins, since the beginning, dating back from the time when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden. In the book of Ezekiel it states "the souls that sinneth, it shall die." (Ezekiel 18:20) Just as God had warned Adam and Eve in the beginning about the affects and the consequences of sin, He is doing the same thing to mankind today. As the generations grow wickeder and wickeder, mankind not only ignores and disobeys God, many people deny who God is, or that He exists. For instance, if you were talking or warning someone of the dangers that are approaching and they continued to ignore you, wouldn't you stop talking and move on, that is how God is with us. Yes! God is forever merciful, but He also grows tired of the disobedience and man failing to return to holiness. God warns us that if we continue in sin, we cannot abide in heaven and He talks to us and coach us to modify our behavior. The Bible states "therefore amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the Lord your God...." (Jeremiah 26:13). If we reject Christ and die in our sins we are lost forever and there is no repentance beyond death and in the grave. When you die a sinner you are hell bound. The place to get you life right is here on earth, today, while you still have time. Topics such as repent, hell, and holiness are just a few of topics that have been forsaken by over half of the human race; causing the famine to grow grievously with the uprising of every generation.
The more God speaks the more people error, and the more He warns mankind, the more they wander away, as if they are sheep without a shepherd. For the most part, God is fed up; the human race He created fails to acknowledge Him as the only true and living God. Mankind would much rather worship objects made of wood, stone, glass, gold, or silver; objects made with their own hands that are unable to talk, listen, or feel the hurt and pain we endure.
True Christians, not hypocrites, have dropped the ball. People of God are falling behind in the game, when it comes to spreading the gospel and witnessing to all mankind. God's word has not changed. His word and His Spirit has sustained Christians in the past and is more than capable to sustain the modern day saints before the return of Christ Jesus. Due to the mishandling and absence of God's word that is being spoken, mankind continues to travel down the path of darkness.
Spiritual famines are a direct causation, due to the lack of godly knowledge Christians are experiencing, from being too lazy to search the scriptures for themselves. Searching the scriptures will enable men and women to find out what is God's purpose for His people. Some Christians would rather the word of God be spoon fed to them, but by doing so they risk enhancing their godly knowledge from ignorant leaders instead of God. Some believe if they receive the word God from a minister who graduated from a biblical college, and uses his or her influences to win over a crowd; then they don't have to study the word of God for themself. There is absolutely nothing wrong with attending a theological school; the only dilemma I have is that some of the graduates are not "saved" and they want to preach to a dying sin sick world about the gift of the Holy Ghost they have never received. Why testify of a Savior that you don't know on a personal level? This sin sick world needs a Holy Ghost filled, fire baptized, tongue talking preacher that is sent by God, to preach His word with boldness and truth.
The spiritual famine spoken of in the bible, in Amos chapter 8 saddens me because of the amount of souls being lost to sin. The fact of the matter it's only going to get worse, this is only prophecy that is being fulfilled, in these last days. Preachers are not looking to win souls for the kingdom of God, but their seeking to excite the people by using the Holy Scriptures to support their futile suppositions. The spiritual famine the world is encountering is a famine of the word of God, we must endure until the end. It is essential for the born-again believer to pray, continue to live holy, and allow God to use us any way He pleases.
Chapter Three
Fallen Away (apostasy)
"Let no man deceive you by any mean: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
2 Thessalonians 2:3(KJV)
The apostasy is the falling away of the church from the truth, which is Jesus Christ. The apostasy is also known as the rejection of God and the regression of mankind from grace. Furthermore, the apostasy is the rebellion of humanity against God by allowing their sins to gain precedence in their lives. If we love God, we will walk in the ways of the Lord. God states in John "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15)
Although the book of Matthew prophecy's of the great fallen away before the end, the evidence of the fallen away began years ago, not long after the establishment of the first century church. Most importantly, the evidence of the apostasy is in plain sight; because God does not want the creature He created to be lost forever. This is why Jesus died on the cross.
Apostates (those who reject Christ, backsliders, sinners) have given up on God and prefer not to contend for the faith. Abandoning the belief of Jesus Christ is becoming more prominent. Paul, the Apostle of Jesus Christ, prophesied and spoke to the church, on numerous occasions about the Christians fallen away from the truth. Paul also foretold, the end will not come until there is a great falling away first. Just because the Apostle Paul warns us about the great falling away does not mean we have to be a part of the apostasy, and risk losing a crown of life or getting our names banished out of the Lambs book of Life.
The apostasy is a hazardous threat to society, which will occur before the rapture (Now). Immediately following will be the beginning of the tribulation. The signs of the apostasy are here in the world and have taken place in and out of numerous churches. Proof the apostasy has already begun are as follows:
Lying preachers and teachers
Homosexual Pastors
Fornicating Pastors (pastors having sex with the members of the church instead of preaching the word of God)
Belief in the Theory of Evolution rather than God as the Creator
Pastors redirecting the focus of the church from Jesus to prosperity gospels and nonsense
Pastors failing to preach damnation, and the wages of sin is death
Those who consider themselves Christians while violating the word of God
Atheistic teachings
Denial of Jesus Christ as a part of the Godhead or Deity
Denial and rejection of the Holy Ghost
Many individuals do not believe these facts are evident of the apostasy, but it is true. The bible speaks against these acts and many more that were not listed. It's becoming easier for mankind to regress against the truth because their conscience is being "seared with a hot iron." (1 Timothy 4:2) Their hearts have become as hard as a stone against the word of God.
Believers' of God and hypocrites' that know what the bible says about the end time are now observing and anticipating the unveiling of the Antichrist. For some odd reason, they have forgotten or refuse to understand the scripture affirms, the falling away will emerge first before the rise of the Antichrist. The apostasy is in alliance with the debut of the Antichrist or the "son of perdition," as illustrated in the New Testament portion of the bible. Those who believe they can live their whole life in sin and then repent of their sins when the Antichrist is revealed are sadly mistaken. The Antichrist will only surface after the rapture, but let us not forget death can come to anyone at anytime, and if you die in your sins there is no repentance in the grave. The foundation for the displaying of the Antichrist is being laid during this present time. The spirit of the antichrist is already working within the world. The question that needs to be raised is "will those who are lost return unto the Lord before the second coming of Christ?" God has left the decision up to us; it's either Holiness or hell.
Holiness is the setting apart of God's people from the heathens (the world, those who reject Christ). All churches that claim God as their Lord and Savior must follow in the way of holiness; it is a requirement from God, the book of 2nd Corinthians states "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God". (2 Corinthians 7:1) Holiness is an essential part of serving and worshipping God. Those who desire to worship and serve the Almighty Creator of all things must worship Him in complete holiness (a lifestyle free from sin).
