Neuware - A young man, an old woman, and a life-changing connection. Two unlikely strangers share one roof, a world of difference, and a lifetime of wisdom. Join the writer on a journey through the twists and turns of life, from the heartland of rural America to the ups and downs of career and personal challenges. With unforgettable people and poignant storytelling, Strangers and Angels will make you laugh, cry, and reflect on the power of human connection. Discover how embracing life's unexpected moments and people can lead to profound growth, new opportunities, and a deeper understanding of what it means to truly live. Strangers and Angels is about making dreams come true, not only through perseverance and positive thinking but also through kindness--or, as Reaume prefers, 'You win with people.' Everyone he meets along the way, from a Michigan dairy farmer to a cranky old rancher and above all, one very special granny plays a role in this bighearted memoir that will inspire and delight you.--Dawn Raffel, author of The Strange Case of Dr. CouneyLoved it! A reminder that it is in the little moments that we impact a person's life
The nature of the book made me look back upon my life and appreciate those moments when someone extended me a helping hand or even did as little as checking up on me when I did not even know I needed it. If you would like to feel genuinely warm and fuzzy inside from relatable content, this might be the book you have been looking for. Strangers & Angels by Gabe Reaume...It’s a terrific read by a city manager here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I was struck by something one of the readers noted in a review.
Here’s what she wrote: It’s a reminder that it is in the little moments that we impact a person’s life.
That’s the career of a public servant in a nutshell. I know it’s more complicated than that, but at its heart, public service has an impact on people’s lives. In big ways and in small, what public servants do matters. They all matter.
I wish everyone in public service could read this review or, better yet, read the book. They should know that what they do—even the small things, maybe especially the small things—has an impact.
I think public servants, especially those in local government, could use a sign of their own to remind them of their importance in the world. It could read: It’s in the little moments that we impact a person’s life.
