Neuware - 'Structure and Surface: A Book of Field Geology' is a practical and technical guide dedicated to the methods and principles of geological observation in the field. The work serves as a foundational manual for students and professional geologists alike, focusing on the critical relationship between the internal structural arrangement of rock masses and the physical features displayed on the Earth's surface. By bridging the gap between theoretical study and active fieldwork, the book provides a clear framework for interpreting the complex history of a landscape through its visible topography. The text covers essential topics such as the identification of various rock types, the measurement of folds and faults, and the systematic techniques required for accurate geological surveying and mapping. The author emphasizes the importance of deduction and precise observation, guiding the reader through the process of reconstructing subterranean structures based on surface data. Rich in methodological detail, 'Structure and Surface: A Book of Field Geology' is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in structural geology, geomorphology, and the rigorous scientific approach to understanding the Earth's physical evolution. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. This work was reproduced from the original artifact, and remains as true to the original work as possible.
