THE BOOKSNIFFER

The Booksniffer is the book selling name of the painter and writer, Peter Kettle. He specialises in Modern Firsts in hardback, signed where possible; limited editions; fine bindings; books on art and artists, poetry and plays. Some young adult and childrens books are included. A selection of FINE BINDINGS, original paintings, ephemera, prints and limited editions are listed on ABE. Recently, Peter Kettle was shortlisted for a major fiction prize, which led to his first novel - The Driftwood Giraffe - becoming available on Kindle. He was awarded an Anthony Burgess Observer award for Arts Journalism, won two short story prizes at the international Home Start Short Story competition, chief judge Tracy Chevalier; and he was shortlisted for the 2015 Bridport Prize. He was shortlisted for the Wexford Colm Toibin Award, and two short stories made it to the shortlist of the People's College Prize, Dublin. Peter Kettle's art is often book based, and some of these are available as prints, listed on Abe.
