A lifelong obsession with weather leads to his greatest breakthrough: the creation of the world's first unconfined artificial tornado. Controlled. Touchable. And unlike anything humanity has ever seen. But word travels fast. When Universal Studios discovers the invention, they see more than science-they see the ultimate blockbuster attraction. Soon, Hollywood executives, rival studios, and shadowy investors are all scrambling to claim the storm. What begins as an innocent pitch for spectacle erupts into a race for power, money, and control. With forces closing in from every direction, Engle must protect his invention-or risk unleashing chaos on a scale no one can stop.Thrilling, inventive, and utterly original, Taming the Wind is a high-velocity adventure where science collides with ambition-and one man is at the center of it all.At its core, the story follows Jack Engle, a scientist who invented an artificial tornado, who has spent a lifetime running from the tempests of the past. But when fate thrusts them into a land where the wind is both destroyer and guide, they must learn to face what cannot be controlled. Along the way, they discover that true strength is not in conquering the storm-but in finding harmony with it.This novel offers: A sweeping romance that proves love can endure even the harshest trials. Dr. Jack Engle, a brilliant scientist, respected professor, and bestselling textbook author, has done the unthinkable: he has engineered the first artificial tornado. Designed to revolutionize clean energy, his creation could change the world—or destroy it.
But Engle isn’t just a scientist. He’s also a family man who finds balance in Sunday jam sessions with his children and grandchildren, performing in the family band that keeps him grounded. His world of music, teaching, and family dinners is suddenly shattered when his discovery ignites a corporate firestorm.
Universal Studios, tech giants, and global investors all want to control his invention. Billion-dollar lawsuits erupt, espionage follows him from classrooms to courtrooms, and the corporations circling his work will stop at nothing to seize it. As the legal battle escalates into a high-stakes war, Jack must fight not only for the future of his technology, but for the safety of the family he cherishes.
Blending legal intrigue, scientific imagination, and heartfelt family drama, Taming the Wind delivers the tension of John Grisham with the visionary scope of Michael Crichton. It’s a gripping novel about ambition, greed, and loyalty—where the greatest storm of all may be the battle for one man’s legacy.
Thrilling, inventive, and utterly original, Taming the Wind is a high-velocity adventure where science collides with ambition—and one man is at the center of it all.
