Light wear to extremities with scuffing top corners, end bands and joints. Areas of flaking and red rot at end bands. Head of spine is flaking with cord loosening. Gilt tooling remains bright and intact. Edges painted yellow & speckled. Finely bound overall. Marbled end papers clean and bright. Old hand ownership dated 1833 on fly leaf. Interior lightly toned with scattered foxing, heavy at times. Offsetting from plates, tissue guards very toned. All tissue guards intact. Free of known markings. Binding tight and intact. A sound copy with minor aesthetic issues. Please see photos.
