This is an adventure story that begins prior to the development of the large resorts in Mexico. It touches on smuggling, friendship, travel and the history of Mexico.

Mario began writing this book in 1987. He taught Art in public school for 20 years, established a carbide blade business, sold it, bought an old established cemetery, sold it, and became a Real Estate developer in Beverly Hills and Bel Air, California. He finished his working career as a private lender, financing loans on commercial property and private residences. In retirement, he used 13 arduous months, night and day, finishing the TERRA COTTA GOLD story. He has been a collector of European cars. His sports activities were snow skiing, white water kayaking, and dirt bike riding. In 1968 scuba diving took him to the warm waters of Palancar reef at Isla Cozumel near the present Cancun and he returned often. Those trips to Mexico formed the foundation for TERRA COTTA GOLD. Mr. Stepp resides in Southern California.
