The DE vere system is an entirely new departure in the method of writing and reading shorthand.

Differing from all other systems of shorthand, it teaches to write and read words by syllable. The pupil is not con fused by rules and exceptions, but is taught to write and read shorthand from the first lesson, exactly as it has been used by the author for twenty-two years in professional work, as an expert shorthand reporter, secretary, and teacher.
