Book two starts off with a bang, right where book one left off and rockets upwards toward the climax. With more from the same beloved characters, this story is packed with action, suspense, and ample laughs, delivering on its promise to provide another, even more exciting and engaging adventure! Book two in the epic trilogy delivers fun for the entire family! Live alongside Tom and his friends as the stakes are raised and the tension mounts, interspersed with timely and well-earned outbursts of laughter. The second book propels our heroes and the reader to new heights where the kids must ‘find the artifact’ before time runs out. In doing so, they’ve got to survive freak snowstorms, active volcanoes, deadly giant ice worms, a shape-shifting demon, a whacked fairy queen, the terrifying cave of nightmares, plus a bungling troll and ogre, and of course, an evil wizard! Except for the occasional aid from some unlikely sources: a mischievous gremlin, a ferocious dragon, and even a troll, the kids must accomplish this monumental task by themselves. No matter what Bellchar the troll says, K. M. Doherty is the real author of the Thomas Holland series. KM is a software engineer who has raced sailboats, skied, flew hang gliders, studied martial arts, ridden motorcycles, been a professional musician, and acted in theater. He loves to write, hike, practice Tai Chi, attend plays, and watch way too many movies. KM is a professional public speaker giving presentations at schools, businesses and civic organizations across the country. He also donates books to children in need. KM’s love of science and technology began in his childhood and continues to this day. He believes that for writing fantasy and magic anything goes, however, for science fiction, the physics must be correct or if more advanced, follow current scientific theories. Finally, and most important, please remember K. M. Doherty is the true author. Don’t listen to Bellchar. As Avani, Goban, and Devraj remind us in this book: HE’S A TROLL!
