A Short Story by award winning author - W.K. Rader
Some moments are meant to pass. Others refuse to.
On an ordinary autumn evening, Alisha sits at a city bus stop wrapped in her late mother's shawl, waiting for a bus that will never come. When a stranger in a charcoal coat and a fedora steps out of the fading light, looking as though he walked straight out of the 1940s. The clock across the street stops ticking, the traffic freezes, and the world holds its breath.
He calls himself a Time Man.
He claims he can fold time like tuning a dial on a radio; sliding moments forward and back, but never undoing a life or pulling a soul back once it's gone. And he has come with a warning: Alisha is threaded through a day that others are trying to rewrite, and the work she's doing on a secretive project could unravel everything. There are others like him. Some of them want her dead.
As an unseen war over time closes in around her, gunfire, falling debris, near-misses that masquerade as accidents — Alisha's only guide is a voice she thought she'd lost forever: her mother's, whispering Move. Run. Be careful. To survive, she must trust forces she can't see, defy a bargain that could save her life, and follow a thread that reaches back across generations to a wartime secret and a name she never expected to find.
Spanning a single, breathless chase and a lifetime of buried family history, The Time Men is a haunting, fast-paced tale about grief, memory, free will, and the strange ways the people we love stay with us—long after time should have carried them away.
A gripping short read perfect for fans of literary science fiction and supernatural suspense, complete with a Book Club Discussion Guide and a preview of W.K. Rader's acclaimed novel The Gathering.

Descrizione dello Store
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
