Dalla quarta di copertina
Everything you need to know to support a supply chain excellence initiative
Total Supply Chain Management shows how to add value to the organisation, whether it is in manufacturing or service sector, through the improved use of resources and supplier partnerships by taking into account the new challenges of the 21st Century and through the provision of improved customer satisfaction. The book provides:
* A holistic approach of supply chain management balancing demand and supply and embedding the new challenges of global outsourcing, emerging markets, e-business and green issues
* A focus on value chain management beyond the manufacturing sector in services and non profit organisations
* A comprehensive insight into lean and agile supply chain supported by tools and techniques and case examples
In this book, the authors have broken new ground. Traditional supply chain management is extended downstream to encompass customer relationship management. Upstream supply chain management has been expanded to include demand chain management. Other advances from traditional supply chain management texts are sections on e-business and supply chains for services and events management, for project management, for emerging markets and the chapter on green supply chain.
