1906. First edition. 383pp. and 34 black and white illustrations. This is a comprehensive history of the Tron Kirk of Edinburgh, dedicated to Christ by the citizens of Edinburgh in 1641, and known as "Christ's Kirk at the Tron". It was one of the four early parish churches of Edinburgh, subsequent to the Scottish Reformation of 1560. The book is bound in the original dark blue buckram covered boards with gold titling on the spine and gold titling with an illustration on the front board. Top edge gilt The case of the book is in excellent condition. Offsetting to endpapers. Light to moderate foxing to edges which are untrimmed. Light foxing to prelims and endmatter.
