True to Life is a five-level course for adults. To ensure a high level of motivation, the course focuses on contemporary themes, language and learning styles that are relevant to adult learners. The Starter level provides between 40 and 60 hours of class work. The other levels provide between 72 and 96 hours of class work, depending on the various options used. The range of extra materials (photocopiable worksheets, tests and videos) create a comprehensive and flexible teaching package. The ready-made lessons can be used as they stand, saving teacher time, or adapted using the optional activities suggested in the Teacher's Book.

Recensione
'True to Life is quite simply the best text I have ever used for adult groups of English learners both at elementary and pre-intermediate levels. The material is interesting, varied and most of all authentic, leading to effective learning and lively discussion.' Sangeetha Batra, Buckingham School, Rome, Italy
'This is a comprehensive course about everyday life that uses a communicative approach ... it will meet the needs of your students who have done other basic courses and want a practical, activity-based course. My students are enjoying it.' VATME Newsletter No 72, 1997
' All in all, True to Life is an excellent addition to the elementary coursebook market; there's plenty of input and plenty of practice, and most importantly, it's not boring, either for teachers or students.' MET, Vol 7, Number 3, 1998
'If you are looking for a very teacher-friendly course or just an alternative to Headway, and one that really builds on students' knowledge, check out True to Life'.
'In brief, True to Life Elementary is an excellent course book specifically for adults. Topics have been chosen for their interest and relevance to adults all over the world. Activities have been designed to provide them with the opportunity to talk about their experiences, express opinions, use their knowledge and their imagination to solve problems and exchange ideas so as to learn from one another. Adult learners will find it relevant, stimulating, useful and enjoyable.' VATME Newsletter, No 64, 1996
