A moment of vulnerability. Enduring consequences. Can Arlana ever forgive herself?
Josiah leaves when she needs him most. As Arlana’s whole world crumbles around her; her grandfather’s terminal cancer, feelings of unworthiness, doubting Josiah’s love - things don’t seem like they can get worse.
Drowning in grief and fear, she turns to Josiah’s best friend, Lachlan. He alone knows her darkest secret. And he still cares for her and offers friendship and support. So she clings to him and the warmth of their friendship.
Josiah however, is cold and aloof. He’s a whole different person than Arlana remembers and it’s tearing her up inside. All he does is push her away. Arlana knows that the things that matter most are the child growing within her and her young son. She must also find her way back to God, or has He turned His back on her as well?
Caught between two different worlds; she must make a heartbreaking choice. The wrong one might destroy her spirit. Whatever her decision, there’s no turning back.

Informazioni sull’autore
Avalon Davidson is a Canadian author who weaves the heart and soul of contemporary life into every page. Her stories are inspired by the beauty of everyday moments and the extraordinary strength found in the complexities of human relationships.
In her books, readers will discover relatable characters navigating love, loss, and self-discovery in ways that feel both real and deeply personal. Whether it's the spark of new romance, the enduring bonds of friendship, or the courage to embrace change, Avalon's stories are crafted to stay with readers long after the final page.
Drawing from Canada's rich landscapes and diverse cultures, Avalon creates novels that transport readers to familiar yet compelling worlds, where emotions resonate universally and stories feel like home.
When she's not writing, Avalon enjoys quiet mornings with a cup of coffee, exploring nature's trails, or losing herself in the pages of an inspiring book.
For those seeking contemporary fiction that touches the heart and sparks the imagination, Avalon Davidson invites readers to step into her world-where every story is a journey worth taking.
Angeline Gallant traces her roots through generations of Old Stock Canadian heritage, her passion for genealogy as deep and enduring as the forests and fields her ancestors once walked. With a reverence for history and an eye for detail, she weaves stories from the fragments of lives left behind in letters, records, and weathered headstones.
An avid reader and devoted writer, Angeline brings the past to life with a curiosity for heraldry and a deep love for the landscapes that shaped her family's story. Each name and date she uncovers feels less like history and more like coming home, a familiar echo in the vast tapestry of time. For her, these stories are not forgotten-they live, breathing in the quiet spaces of memory and tradition, a testament to lives once lived, now eternal in the pages of her books.
