A modern facsimile reprinting of the rare 1899 1st edition, published in New York by The Knickerbocker Press. Pringle, a wealthy Louisiana planter, claimed to have killed close to 70,000 snipe over a twenty-year span. His favorite weapon was a James Purdey choke 12 bore. This is the 2nd Sand Lake printing and the publisher in his 6-page introduction states, "In the first printing mistakes were made in the Introduction.
