The main purpose of this book is to appeal to the reader's interest in a subject that has been the theme of many writers and can never be exhausted, because it is eternally interesting to all humans. This is a book that depicts the struggle of humans under the opposing influences of good and evil.
In every moment of our lives, there exists an unseen battle, one fought not with swords or shields, but within the depths of our hearts and minds. It is a struggle between the forces of good and evil, each vying for our allegiance, whispering in our ears, guiding our thoughts, and influencing our actions.
From the moment a child takes their first breath, they are assigned two unseen companions: one an angel, the other a devil. These two beings represent the eternal struggle that every human faces in their journey through life. The angel whispers words of virtue, righteousness, and mercy, guiding the heart toward light and truth. The devil, on the other hand, urges selfishness, temptation, and sin, leading the soul toward darkness and destruction.
The choice, however, is not forced. It is left to us, the human beings, to decide whose whispers we will heed. We are endowed with intellect and will, the ability to distinguish between right and wrong, and the free will to make decisions that shape our destinies. But it is not an easy path, for the struggle is constant, and the heart is often swayed by the complexities of life.

Ahmed Tolba is a writer from Egypt. He was born in Cairo, Egypt, on June 2, 1977. Ahmed is a husband, father, attorney at law, and writer. Writing a book on the struggle of humans under the opposing influences of good and evil was always on Ahmed's wish list. Eventually, with this book, it became a reality. Tempted by Fire, Saved by Light is Ahmed's fifth book. He had already written two professional books on negotiation skills and mitigating risks in complex contracts. He also wrote Human! A Reflection of the Spirit, Soul, and Mind and A Mother's Affliction.
When Ahmed is not working or writing, he spends his time with his wife and kids. He also loves horseback riding. Ahmed works and lives in the United Arab Emirates.
