This book has been created to provide the minimum required information to understand a System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) environment. The intended audience of this book are technical people that want to learn or improve their understanding of SCCM 2012 SP1. Minimum knowledge of the following software and technologies is assumed, including but not limited to Active Directory, SQL Server, Windows, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, BitLocker, Hyper-V and Windows Client (i.e. Windows 7, Windows 8). Knowledge of SCCM 2012 SP1 or early versions (including SCCM 2007 and SMS 2003) is beneficial.This book was created to be an extension of a classroom training course and it has been split into two parts, part one covers the theory, and it provides you an introduction to SCCM including the pre-requirement knowledge necessary. Part two is a ‘how to’ guide and gives you insight into the most commonly used features of SCCM 2012 SP1.
