Paperback. Diana thought she'd already hit bottom twice. Istanbul teaches her the abyss has more floors than she imagined. After Julian negotiates her out of Sarim's household, he believes the worst is behind them. But Diana isn't ready for Geneva. She stays in the city alone, moves into an apartment of her own, and discovers something no man has ever offered her before: an ordinary life, built out of small things, with a Grand Bazaar merchant who sells half-truths and makes real coffee. With Kerem, Diana isn't a possession or a ceremonial offering. For the first time, she's a woman learning to scrub floors, to fight at five in the morning, to love without anyone designing it for her. But Kerem's past carries a price neither of them accounted for, and one night of shared risk drags them into the city's darkest corners, where neither Julian's money nor Sarim's name guarantees anything at all. When the debt comes due in the cruelest way possible, Diana will discover exactly how far she's willing to go for love - and Julian will finally have to decide what kind of husband he wants to be, now that there's no contract left to sign.A dark, addictive novel about love that arrives uninvited, the price of freedom chosen rather than given, and the distance between a woman who surrenders and a woman who is finally, truly undone.
