Unity Star Goes to Summer Camp is a warm, 24-page picture book that follows Unity Star—a glowing, anthropomorphic star—as she embarks on her first summer at Camp Rainbow Ridge. Each spread pairs a gentle narrative moment with a core life lesson rooted in faith, friendship, and kindness. Readers watch Unity Star navigate new experiences—from an art project and canoeing to balance beams and campfires—always leaning on prayer, encouragement, and compassion to guide her steps.

Throughout her adventures, Unity Star:

• Welcomes the new by making friends (Daisy Deer, Timmy Turtle, and others) and joining camp traditions.

• Cultivates creativity with vibrant crafts and garden-planting, showing young readers that their unique gifts can brighten the world.

• Exercises faith and courage, literally balancing across a “river,” praying through a storm, and finding strength to try new things.

• Learns teamwork and resilience when the canoe tips and during group activities, emphasizing that mistakes can deepen friendships and build character.

• Celebrates community in a “Shine Bright” talent show and closing circle, reinforcing that everyone has a special light worth sharing.

On the final page, campers unite in the Unity Star Pledge, a heartfelt promise to “shine with faith, share kindness, make friends with love, and spread God’s light wherever [they] go.” The book’s gentle, faith-filled narrative and vivid, heartwarming illustrations make it an uplifting guide for young readers learning to step into new situations with courage, compassion, and gratitude.
