Paperback. Vic isn't invisible - he's just invisible to everyone who matters. At school, he's the kid with the "stupid ideas," the one whose friends laugh when he talks about inventing the next big thing. His report card is a disaster. Nobody believes in him. Nobody except Vic. That's because Vic has something his classmates don't know about: a working time machine, hidden in his parents' garage. After months of scrounging parts from junkyards and electronics shops, he finally powers it up. And it works. Impossibly, impossibly, it works. When he sets the dials back just one day, Vic discovers he's living the same 24 hours again. At first, it feels like a miracle. He can fix his grades. He can become the kid everyone respects. He can finally prove that his wild ideas aren't stupid-they're brilliant. And for a while, it works. Vic's plan transforms him. Suddenly he's the coolest, smartest kid in Millbrook. His friends worship him. His teachers praise him. Everything he wanted is finally his. Except success doesn't work the way Vic thought it would. As his lies pile up and his secrets grow heavier, everything he built starts to crack. And it gets worse every time he tries to fix it. Desperate and out of options, Vic returns to his machine one final time. But this time machine won't give him the answer he's looking for. Sometimes you can't rewrite your past. Sometimes you have to learn to live with the mistakes that make you who you are. Perfect for young readers who love inventions, mystery, adventure, and stories about finding your place in the world-even when you don't fit the mold. This item is printed on demand.
He can finally prove that his wild ideas aren't stupid—they're brilliant.
Perfect for young readers who love inventions, mystery, adventure, and stories about finding your place in the world—even when you don't fit the mold.
