"Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from
the words of my mouth.
Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;
Love her, and she will keep you.
Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.
Exalt her, and she will promote you;
She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.
She will place on your head an ornament of grace;
A crown of glory she will deliver to you."
Those are the words of the wisest man who ever lived which I have kept in the innermost chamber of my heart and in the forefront of my consciousness since the age of my spiritual awakening at sixteen. The wisdom and the understanding I have gained from all that I have observed and reflected on since my renaissance I have earnestly sought to apply in my life. Here’s what I have noted down in over half a century of deep ponderings on all that transpired outside me and within me as I sojourned on this temporal terrain.
